The European Union’s High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas, has condemned Iran’s drone attacks on Azerbaijan, APA reports.

Kallas described Iran’s actions as unacceptable.

“Iran’s drone attacks against the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic region of Azerbaijan are completely unacceptable. These attacks represent a further escalation by Iran and increase the likelihood that the war could spread beyond the Middle East.

I contacted Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov regarding this issue and emphasized that the European Union stands in full solidarity with the government and people of Azerbaijan,” she stressed.

Note that today, drone attacks were carried out on the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic of the Republic of Azerbaijan from the territory of the Islamic Republic of Iran. One drone struck the terminal building of Nakhchivan International Airport, while another fell near a school building in the village of Shakarabad. The airport building was damaged and four people were injured.
